A-Team is coming to Halloween time! The A-Team was one of the big hits in the TV industry back in the 80s’; currently a film is being produced using the original premise the TV series as the basis for the action film. Originally four veterans of the Vietnam War were convicted of armed robbery and escaped military prison becoming good mercenaries. Middle East will be the counterpart of the 80s Vietnam as the place where the four did their tour of duty. They were framed and arrested for committing a crime they did not commit.
The following primary characters are to be reinca
rnated in the TV classic:
Colonel John “Hannibal” Smith
The character was originally played by George Peppard, the new cast as the leader of the A-Team was Liam Neeson. As Hannibal, Peppard has manifested an unconventional style in planning that managed to pull through with all of the challenges that the team has underwent, achieving the best results as they intended. The character of Hannibal was relaxed and cool headed as always, he always had solutions in almost all situations. He was also portrayed as a master of disguises observing credibility of his clients. He relaxes by using cigar and wears black gloves in anticipation of a fight.
Sergeant Bosco “B.A.” Baracus
The role was originally played by Mr. T. This role will be handled by Quinton “Rampage” Jackson of UFC. B.A. was the mechanic of the team. He was also the groups’ muscle and created a cultural icon with his ability to handle tough fights. He was often considered as the last resort for the team. But his primary skill was that of a mechanic, he would fabricate all the weapons, machines and equipments needed by the team in each episode. With all of his
might he has one weakness; he was afraid of flying and would need to be tricked to board planes for the team’s latest destination.
Lt. Templeton “Faceman” Peck or referred to as “Face” – a con-man who is smooth talking and serves as the teams appropriator of useful items and vehicles. The teams Pilot is Capt. H.M. “Howling Mad” Murdock, known to be insane and was a resident of Veterans Administration mental institution during the first four seasons of the TV series. Usually the characters of B.A. and Murdock would have minor clashes which are associated with flying.
The Series wherein which the movie is based from will more likely to be adopted in the film. The characters portraying the present film on the other hand faces the challenge of surpassing performance of character portrayal of original TV series. George Peppard was great in expressing his portrayal of his character and so is the iconic personality of Mr. T as B.A. Baracus. These two primary characters were great contributors for the fame of the TV series. It is always great that classic TV series are being reincarnated with modern touch and visual effects that were not available back in the 80s.
